Among a number of musical performances during the World Meeting of Families' Saturday vigil in Croke Park Stadium was Andrea Bocelli's impressive rendition of “Ave Maria” by Schubert. He was accompanied by the soprano Celine Byrne.
Bocelli is a prominent supporter of Pope Francis and has sung at various papal events in recent years.
