“I don't know how to thank you.”

On several occasions, the pope expressed his satisfaction on the organization of his visit to the Crown Prince. Upon arrival to Abu Dhabi's presidential airport, the two leaders greeted each other's delegations.

First Pope Francis shook hands with each one of the members of the whole group from the United Arab Emirates. Mohammaed Bin Zayed, then did the same with the representatives of the Vatican who accompanied the pope.

Pope Francis presented him a gift before exchanging goodbyes from the entrance of the plane. On the red carpet, the two walked together and then shared a final friendly conversation before parting ways.

This was how Pope Francis' 27th international visit, the second of 2019, concluded. The next trip will be to Morocco, at the end of March. There, the focus will also be on improving the relationship with Islam and the Catholic Church.
