Pope Francis celebrates the Easter Vigil, on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.. It is known as one of the most important vigils. It is a moment of reflection upon recalling the Resurrection of Christ.

The event begins with the lighting of the new fire in the atrium of St. Peter's Basilica. The Paschal Candle is lit and then leads the solemn procession into the church.
