LIVE: Pope Francis leaves North Macedonia and returns to Rome

After the meeting with religious, the pope makes his way to Skopje airport. Civil authorities await him there to send him off. The president of the country accompanies Pope Francis until he boards the plane.

The plane is scheduled to take off at 6:30 p.m. to Rome and land at around 8:30 p.m.

Thus, he finishes his 29th pastoral trip outside of Italy. His next will be to Romania, from May 31 to June 2.
