LIVE: pope meets President of the Republic of North Macedonia


The pope visits the presidential palace of North Macedonia. In this place, Villa Vodno, he is received by the President of the Republic, Gjorge Ivanov.

The event begins at 9:00 a.m. Rome time.

After the military honors and the presentation of the delegations, Pope Francis holds a meeting first with the president and then with the prime minister. 

Both will introduce the pope to their respective families and give him a gift.

Pope Francis and the president will then participate together in a meeting with the country's authorities and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
