Madagascar's president Andry Rajoelina and his wife Mialy Razakandisa bid farewell to Pope Francis at Antananarivo airport. 

The pope is scheduled to arrive in Rome at 7:00 p.m. local time. 

The flight will last around 10 hours and 40 minutes. 

The papal plane will fly over Madagascar, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Egypt, Greece and Italy.
