Good morning, your Holiness.

The last encounter between the pope and the Patriarch of Constantinople showed the positive relationship between the two.

The leader of the Orthodox Church, Bartholomew, traveled to Rome to thank the pontiff for the gift he gave to him: fragments of the remains of the first pope: St. Peter.

Pope Francis did this as a gesture to increase unity among Christians. He did this to bring Peter together with his brother Andrew, whose successor is now the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, the main leader of the Orthodox Church.

The Patriarch gave the pope a chalice and a set of coffee cups while Pope Francis gave him the peace document he signed with Muslims and his main magisterial documents.

The Patriarch appreciated the gift of St. Peter's relics, which he saw as a concrete gesture towards unity.
