The pope met with dozens of representatives from the Talitha Kum network, for its 10th anniversary. The organization is made up of around 2,000 religious from different congregations that work against trafficking and help victims. They are present in more than 90 countries.
Talitha Kum hopes to improve awareness against human trafficking in areas where they work and maintain good coordination with local churches.
The pope, in fact, stressed the importance of not carrying out their work too independently.

Outside the Church - this Church – it is parallel to the local church, [if you don't collaborate] things do not work. Your intuitions and initiatives have paved the way for an urgent and effective ecclesial response.
Before giving his blessing, the pope gave them one last piece of advice: don't end the day without reflecting on the look in the eyes of one of the victims they have met.
