LIVE: Pope celebrates St. Francis feast between indigenous people

The pope presides over a ceremony in the Vatican Gardens on St. Francis' Day. As a symbol of the necessity of caring for nature, he will plant a tree from Assisi and dedicate the Amazon Synod that begins on Sunday to St. Francis. Several indigenous people will be present at the ceremony.

This celebration is the initiative of the Franciscans, REPAM (Panamazonian Ecclesial Network) and Gccm (Global Catholic Climate Movement).
