For the month of February, Pope Francis is praying so “the cries of our migrant brothers and sisters, victims of criminal human smuggling and human trafficking, may be heard and considered.”

Pope Francis also names those he believes are leading to this drama. He says they are people “willing to do anything for financial gain,” yet the profit from their “dirty, underhanded business is blood money.” That's why the pope pleads for prayers, so that the suffering of these migrants and victims of trafficking be considered and heard.
