LIVE: WYD cross entrusted to Portuguese youth on Solemnity of Christ the King

This Nov. 22, at the Mass for the Solemnity of Christ the King, in St. Peter's Basilica, Panamanian youth will hand of the World Youth Day cross to their Portuguese peers.

Pope Francis will celebrate the liturgy, which will begin at 10 a.m., Rome time.

Since John Paul II first convoked young people to these meetings 36 years ago, this wooden cross has accompanied preparations for different editions, making its way around the globe.
