Pope to stop at East Harlem school during visit to New York City

Pope Francis is getting ready for his trip to three major cities in the U.S: Washington D.C, Philadelphia and New York City. There, the highlight will be the speech he will give before the United Nations, but the Archdiocese of the big apple has announced additional plans as well. ;

On Friday, September 25th, Pope Francis is scheduled to meet with students who attend the Our Lady Queen of Angels elementary school in East Harlem. Students from other Catholic schools will be there as well to welcome the Pope. ;

Once inside, he will have a private meeting with 24 students from four Catholic schools ;located in East and West Harlem. A group of migrant families from Latin America who have received assistance from Catholic institutions and charities, are also expected to be there. ;

Pope Francis will start off his visit to the U.S in New York, on September 22nd. It will conclude on the 26th in Philadelphia, ;with the World Meeting of Families. ;
