Even though the Pope's schedule has been limited this summer, he's been preparing for his trips abroad to Cuba and the USA. He will head off the to island on September 19th and then make his way to the US, where he will be until September 28th.

Just a week later, the Synod on the Family will begin, with bishops from all over the world. It will conclude on October 25th.
Then in November, the Pope has two planned trips. On the 10th he's  scheduled to visit the Italian cities of Prato in Tuscany and Florence.

On the 25th, his schedule confirms that Pope Francis is planning on visiting Africa for the first time.

'God willing, I will visit Africa in November. First, the Central African Republic and afterwards Uganda. There's also the possibility, that I may go to Kenya, but that's still uncertain due to logistical issues.â?

At this point, the details of the trip are pretty scarce. His official schedule has not been published, but according to the Vatican's calendar, the trip to Africa is confirmed from Wednesday, November 25th to Monday 30th.
