Today, technology is being used to help solve some of the biggest problems our world faces. And the Common Action Forum, an international aid organization, believes tech can even help something as tough as the world's refugee crisis.

That's why they're developing a tool to help spread information about refugee camps and services throughout the world. It's a collaborative effort that requires information to be shared.

The map is a visual reflection of the refugee crisis, which has brought more than one million refugees and immigrants to Europe in search of help over the past year.

'The visitors, above all, come from Turkey, the Balkans, part of the Mediterranean, and a little bit here and there from Northern Europe. I believe that next year the map will cover a much more representative geographic sample.

The map is in English. One can record and filter reports about the situation in different refugee camps: from their appearance in the media to how many volunteers they have. They're also developing a mobile application to help people volunteer in different camps.

The map is growing to cover camps and verified refugee aid organizations located in Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East, and the United States. The Common Action Forum isn't solely concerned with the latest crisis: They keep track of the long history of refugees.

The international group works with journalists, developers, digital designers, and common citizens to fight against a range of human rights crises.

The map hopes to eventually show where the 60 million people who are currently classified as refugees reside. It will be tough: There are more refugees now than at any time since the end of World War Two. It can be viewed at refugeesmap.com
