Sister Maria Bernardetta worked closely with the Pope when he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She was called the \u201cmother of seminarians\u201d because of her ability to connect with men studying for the priesthood who were facing difficult times.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SR. COLOMBA ANGELILLIS <br \/>\nPoor Sisters of St. Joseph of Buenos Aires <\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Whenever Bergoglio had any difficulty with a seminarian, he would send him to Sister Bernardetta to lead him through moments of difficulty that it is normal to have as a young seminarian.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Her canonization process has already passed the diocesan phase. Her fellow sisters remember the final moments of her life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SR. SUSANNA POMPEO <br \/>\nPoor Sisters of St. Joseph of Buenos Aires <\/strong><br \/>\n<em>At one point she said \u201cSusanna.\u201d \u201cTell me, Bernardetta, do you want something?\u201d She said,\u201cOn the little table is the crucifix, will you give it to me?\u201d \u201cYes.\u201d<br \/>\nShe took it.
