{"id":42651,"date":"2023-04-21T17:15:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-21T15:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www1.romereports.com\/2023\/04\/21\/pope-francis-the-unity-of-the-church-is-wounded-by-division\/"},"modified":"2023-04-21T17:15:33","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T15:15:33","slug":"pope-francis-the-unity-of-the-church-is-wounded-by-division","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.romereports.com\/en\/2023\/04\/21\/pope-francis-the-unity-of-the-church-is-wounded-by-division\/","title":{"rendered":"Pope Francis: \u201cThe unity of the Church is wounded by division\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pope Francis met with members of the Papal Foundation: the only charitable organization in the United States whose sole focus is fulfilling the requests of the Pope for the needs of the Church.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 35 years, the Papal Foundation has donated over $200 million in grants and scholarships for students and charitable projects around the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting, Pope Francis expressed his gratitude for their work and emphasized two very important aspects of his mission.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>POPE FRANCIS <br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Unity and transperancy. <br \/>\nUnfortunately, we see even in our day how the unity of the Church is wounded by division. And the devil is a specialist in fighting against unity.
