Fr. Luis Navarro, rector of the Pontifical University the Holy Cross, greeted the Pope on behalf of the group and described the importance of these different institutions.<\/p>\n
All are essential because they contribute to the richness of the Church. In Cardinal Tolentino's words, they are basic necessities for the Church and for society.<\/p>\n
Pope Francis highlighted the need for universities as places where different perspectives and opinions can be expressed and flourish. He encouraged those present to embrace their differences.<\/p>\n
