On Sunday, the Vatican opened the Crypt of the Popes for pilgrims to visit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To access the Crypt, pilgrims enter St. Peter's Basilica and go to the central point\u2014the Altar of Confession, which covers the remains of St. Peter.
