Following the death of Pope emeritus Benedict XVI, the Holy See Press Office released his Spiritual Testimony. <\/p>\n
The text, which was written on August 29, 2006, describes the Pope emeritus as he reflects on his life. He thanks God, his parents, his brother and sister, and all those who played a role in his faith journey.<\/p>\n
In the testimony, Pope emeritus Benedict XVI also challenged Christians to \u201cstand firm in the faith\u201d and to not \u201cbe confused.\u201d He reaffirmed that science and faith are not contradictory\u2014a constant theme throughout his pontificate.<\/p>\n
