In an interview with Jesuit-run America Media, Pope Francis reiterated the Catholic Church's position regarding the priestly ordination of women.<\/p>\n
He described it as 'a theological problem.' But not one that denies women their role.<\/p>\n
The Pope did recognize that there must be more room for women in the Church. For example, during his in-flight press conference returning from Bahrain, he referenced the case of the Council for the Economy\u2014one of the most important offices of the Roman Curia.<\/p>\n
