He was only 63 years old, but had been struggling with health problems. This past August, he was named a cardinal but had been unable to attend the consistory.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>POPE FRANCIS<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Yesterday, when he arrived in Rome, he was feeling sick and was hospitalized for a heart problem. I think they did surgery or something like that. We pray for this brother who was supposed to be here and is hospitalized.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The number of cardinal electors is now 126.
