Young people from around Europe join Franciscan friars on this walking pilgrimage to the city of St. Francis. On specific days, pilgrims can walk through the \u201cdoor of eternal life\u201d and receive a plenary indulgence. The journey is meant to give pilgrims and locals the opportunity to experience forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FR. MASSIMO FUSARELLI<br \/>\n<\/strong>Minister General of the Order of the Friars Minor<br \/>\n<em>Forgiveness for St. Francis, clearly for the Gospel, is to always have a chance and not to consolidate, to close, to break, to have no future. To forgive, from the word itself, means a new gift, a gift for.
