Pope Francis' summer vacation has been anything but quiet. He made a 6 day trip to Canada at the end of July, which he described as exhausting.<\/p>\n

\nBut I think I have to limit myself and my efforts a little bit. <\/em><\/p>\n

In July, the Pope normally suspends his audiences. However, this summer, he continued to hold some meetings, like this one with members of religious congregations. <\/p>\n

Despite postponing his trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan, he celebrated Mass with the Congolese community in Rome.<\/p>\n

In August, he resumes his general audiences and meetings with different authorities and heads of state. He began the month by receiving the President of the Republic of Fiji.<\/p>\n

In the last week of August, the Vatican will hold a Consistory. Pope Francis will create 20 new cardinals and speak to them about the new Apostolic Constitution.<\/p>\n
