{"id":43682,"date":"2022-07-20T15:15:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-20T13:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www1.romereports.com\/2022\/07\/20\/pope-francis-meets-the-prince-and-princesses-of-monaco\/"},"modified":"2022-07-20T15:15:00","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T13:15:00","slug":"pope-francis-meets-the-prince-and-princesses-of-monaco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.romereports.com\/en\/2022\/07\/20\/pope-francis-meets-the-prince-and-princesses-of-monaco\/","title":{"rendered":"Pope Francis meets the prince and princesses of Monaco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pope Francis met with the prince and princess of Monaco, Albert II and his wife Charlene, at the Vatican.<\/p>\n<p>While Catholic queens and princesses may wear white while meeting the Pope as princess Charlene did last time they met in 2016, this time she opted for black.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a gift the prince gave the Pope a drawing of the chapel in the Prince's Palace of Monaco.<\/p>\n<p>In return, the Pope gave them a bronze sculpture of a child helping to lift up another child with the words \u201cto love, to help,\u201d and explained its meaning:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c[It is] the only moment in which a person can look at another below, and help them to get up.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis then gave a special charge to the princess.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPray for me, don't forget. This job is not easy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And he passed along his greetings to their two children.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA blessing, and greet the children.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Monaco is the oldest dynasty in Europe spanning over 700 years.
