Pe\u00f1a Parra test positive for COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two of Pope Francis\u2019 closest advisors, Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, and the Vatican\u2019s number three, Archbishop Edgar Pe\u00f1a Parra, have tested positive for COVID-19.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Vatican has not made it clear if they have recently met with the Pope. Cardinal Parolin typically meets with Pope Francis each Monday, and Archbishop Pe\u00f1a Parra on Tuesdays.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Cardinal is reportedly experiencing mild symptoms, and was not present during the incumbent president of Bosnia and Herzegovina\u2019s visit to the Vatican on Monday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Archbishop Pe\u00f1a Parra has also tested positive, but is asymptomatic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The last time they were seen together in public was during the Pope\u2019s meeting with foreign ambassadors to the Holy See on January 11.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>JMB<\/p>\n<p>TR: JM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 18, 2022.
