The Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church is asking for special measures to pray for peace and deter any sort of increased conflict. <\/p>\n

ANDRIY SOLETSKYY The Pope has publicly expressed his concern for the people of Ukraine and the country's religious communities.<\/p>\n POPE FRANCIS According to the major archbishop of the Ukranian Greek-Catholic Church, Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuck, Pope Francis signaled a potential visit to Ukraine when the two met in November, though there has been no official word from the Vatican. <\/p>\n FR. ANDRIY SOLETSKYY Since Russia invaded and annexed the Crimean Peninsula in 2014, more than 10,000 people have been killed and millions displaced in the ongoing conflict.
