We start with the scavi and another highlight we visit Sixteen Chapel, and really everything between, very excited.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p>They are in Rome for two weeks to study Church history, an enriching experience they say they will never forget.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SARAH WALTON<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cI\u00b4m learning so much about like Catholicsm. I really didn\u00b4t know much about it before coming on this trip, but its kind like a deeper understanding and deeper historical reference of everything.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During the weekly General Audience, the group got the chance to get close to Pope Francis, take pictures with him, and even shake his hand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>AIDAN MORRISEY<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>\u201cIt was super cool, I don't know, it's very unreal. It's kind of like: I didn't think I'd be able to, or anything like that, I don't know I feel like I see him on TV and read all of the encyclicals and stuff like that, you never think that you're gonna actually be able to, I don't know, kiss his hand or be able to say anything, or tell him, you know, your intentions and stuff like that so that was pretty cool.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These students from America's largest Catholic university say studying in Rome is more than learning about history, its a chance to tuch it with your hands, and deepen the faith.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>XSA<\/p>\n<p>TR: JM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 9, 2021.
