He retired in 2008 and has been a soccer commentator ever since.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, he went through the most difficult experience of his life: <strong>the death of his 5-year-old son<\/strong>. I felt God's presence, many times, in the things that happened to me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The former soccer player's story had a profound impact on the university's professors and students. With them, he addressed topics like facing life's challenges and being good people in a selfish society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SANTIAGO CA\u00d1IZARES<br \/>\nFormer soccer player<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cBeing a generous, kind, respectful and maybe humble, person with others, should be the norm. It shouldn't be the exception. But we live in a world where in many cases, we have lost these essential values, and so a normal person seems extraordinary to us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With his YouTube channel, Santi Ca\u00f1izares comments on current events in the world of sports, and he interviews soccer players.
