It will be the first time the Vatican's Nativity scene comes from the Americas.<\/p>\n<p>This is the Peruvian Nativity scene.<\/p>\n<p>It's made of 30 life-size pieces, it comes from the Andes, and it commemorates 200 years of Peru's independence.<\/p>\n<p>The Christmas tree is from Trentino, in northern Italy. It is a 98-foot-tall red spruce.<\/p>\n<p>Both the Nativity scene and the Christmas tree will be unveiled on Dec. 10 and will illuminate the Vatican until Jan. 9.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>JM\/JMB<\/p>\n<p>TR: CT<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 28, 2021.
