That is, a visit to Rome required of bishops of a single region to meet with Vatican officials and report on the state of their dioceses to the Pope.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>France's bishops were scheduled to traveled to Rome in 2020, but had to postpone their visit due to the Covid-19 pandemic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Together with the Pope, they prayed the Hail Mary in Latin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The group of bishops included members of France's Eastern Churches.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After a year of waiting, the Pope will continue to meet with various groups of bishops, barring another pandemic.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>JM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 10, 2021.
