Luke Spehar is an independent Catholic musician from Minnesota. He is also a husband and father who has found a way to harmonize faith, music and family.<\/p>\n
The music video for \u201cLove Songs and Lullabies\u201d features Luke's wife and one of his daughters. For him, it's proof that pursuing a career in music and having a family aren't mutually exclusive, as he once thought.<\/p>\n
LUKE SPEHAR<\/strong> Luke started writing his own music as a junior in high school. \n\u201cIf the Lord is drawing you to both, he'll show you how to prioritize and then also make a way for them both to work, if they're meant to work together. And we've lived that out now for 10 years. And it's just really sweet to watch, sweet to watch how the Lord figures it out for us if we allow him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>\u201cA lot of my music was written out of a need, my own personal need for music that calmed me down or brought me some peace, especially at really anxious times of my life. So it would be wonderful if people experienced the peace that I've experienced through this music.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
\n\u201cEven in the uncertainty and the struggle, we can choose. We can choose to praise God. And we can choose to look up at the Lord. And sometimes that's really all it is. It's just an act of the will. It is just a choice, because the feeling isn't there, but it's a decision to say, 'In the middle of all this uncertainty, Lord, I turn to you,' and just say, 'I believe you have a plan.'\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
