They also discussed the country's reconstruction process and the importance of adopting legal measures to protect Iraqi Christians.<\/p>\n<p>During his visit, the Prime Minister gave the Pope an image of Leonardo Da Vinci's \u201cLast Supper.\u201d The leather work was made by a woman who was a victim of ISIS.<\/p>\n<p>Then he gave the Pope a cross made from the wood of a larger cross from a church that was destroyed by ISIS.<\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis, in turn, gave the Prime Minister a bronze sculpture with the inscription \u201cBe Messengers of Peace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThank you very much.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And this year's message for peace.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cToday I signed it for you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And of course, the most important texts from his pontificate, including the \u201cLaudato si'\u201d and the \u201cFratelli Tutti\u201d encyclicals.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThank God, we are all brothers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Their meeting concluded with this group photo.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>CT<\/p>\n<p>VM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 2, 2021.
