And this is what the Pope had to say.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>'How much suffering there, right?'<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>'Thank you very much!'<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Pope gave him a bas-relief sculpture of Noah along with a message.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>'Seek a way of salvation for Nature and for each person'. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>In a tweet, Haas says they discussed \u201chow to prevent Covid-19 from exacerbating the inequalities between the North and South\u201d and what the EU can do to ensure countries that need vaccines can get them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before the meeting he said they would also discuss the measures taken by the Church against abuse by the clergy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was a very cordial meeting between the two.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>JMB<\/p>\n<p>TR: JM<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May 12, 2021.
