A round of applause for the new young Blessed!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The pope also addressed the ceasefire that <strong>Armenia and Azerbaijan<\/strong> signed in Moscow, and that hours later was almost breached due to a series of bombings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POPE FRANCIS<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Although the truce appears too fragile, I encourage that it be taken up again and I express my participation in sorrow for the loss of human lives, for the suffering endured.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis also asked the pilgrims to support a prayer initiative that the <strong>Aid to the Church in Need<\/strong> organization will carry out on Sunday, Oct. 18. It is called \u201cOne million children praying the rosary.\u201d<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nPOPE FRANCIS<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>I encourage this beautiful event that involves children throughout the world, who will pray especially for critical situations caused by the pandemic.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nThe pope asked for prayers for his October intention: that \u201cthe lay faithful, especially women, participate more in the institutions of responsibility in the Church.\u201d<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 12, 2020.
