As prefect of the Pontifical Household and Benedict XVI's secretary, he will be<strong> under observation<\/strong> for a while, but he is better and recovering. The German branch of <strong>\u201cCatholic News Agency\u201d<\/strong> last Sept. 11 reported that Georg G\u00e4nswein, 64, had been hospitalized because of kidney problems.<\/p>\n<p>Since he's been responding well to treatment, doctors from the<strong> Campus Biomedico in Rome <\/strong>have authorized him to return home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 17, 2020.
