Therefore, we pray that the Holy Spirit might grant pastoral discernment and the ability to find measures that might not leave the holy, faithful people of God alone.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Although Masses remain canceled in Rome, weddings and funerals can still be celebrated with a short prayer. Parishes are the only churches to remain open.<\/p>\n<p>These measures don't apply to the major basilicas like St. Peter's, which at seven years since the pope's election, presents a radically distinct scene.
