Pope Francis met with the Paraguayan Ambassador to the Holy See, Alfredo Ratti.<\/p>\n
Their greeting was very cordial, as was the presentation of the ambassador's credentials to the pope.<\/p>\n

The diplomat was accompanied by his wife of 36 years and several other members of his family.<\/p>\n
The pope gave each of them a small gift.<\/p>\n

Pope Francis praised the role of women in the history of Paraguay.<\/p>\n

As is customary, the pope then said a prayer together with those present. <\/p>\n
