Pope Francis met with \u201cA Chance in Life,\u201d an organization founded by an Irish priest who helped Italian civilians during World War II. <\/p>\n
Msgr. John Patrick Carroll-Abbing brought food and medicine to civilians in battle-affected areas, organized evacuations and set up hospitals and clinics.<\/p>\n
The organization now helps children and refugees in impoverished countries. Pope Francis responded by encouraging the integration of the environment in education.<\/p>\n
