The festival recognizes films that best promote universal moral values and positive models. The trophy is the Silver Fish, inspired by the Christian symbol.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year's best film award went to Austrian Hermann Weiskopf''s \u201cOtto Neururer, Hope Through Darkness.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is the true story of an Austrian priest, Otto Neururer, killed by the Nazis in the Buchenwald concentration camp in 1940 for secretly administering the sacraments to those in the camp.<\/p>\n<p>Best documentary award went to American Ricardo del Pozo's \u201cJ.R.R. Tolkien. An Unexpected Friend.\u201d It tells the surprising story of the author of \u201cThe Lord of the Rings\u201d and \u201cThe Hobbit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Best short film award went to Hungarian Ern\u04e7 Zolt\u00e1n Balogh's \u201cFaces.\u201d It tells the story of the martyrdom of Kucsera Ferenc, a young chaplain killed by the Soviets in 1919.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMirabile Dictu\u201d is a Latin expression meaning \u201cwonderful to relate.\u201d It is an appropriate name for the festival, whose goal is to show the Church's message from a new perspective combining glamour and tradition.<\/p>\n<p>Claudia Torres<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 3, 2019.
