Pope Francis will inaugurate it in a special way. He announced how on Wednesday during the General Audience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POPE FRANCIS<\/strong><br \/>\nNov. 26, 2019<br \/>\n<em>I will visit Greccio to pray in the place where the first Nativity scene was made by St. Francis of Assisi. I will send a letter to all believers to help them understand the meaning of the nativity scene.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>What St. Francis did in the 13th century was a live Nativity scene which allowed people to participate more actively in Christmas.
