Venezuela is one of the nine countries that make up the Pan-Amazon region. It is a nation with abundant natural resources, but is submerged in a dramatic crisis.<\/p>\n
In little more than 50 percent of the land, approximately 30 indigenous populations exist threatened by political crisis, corruption and illegal mining.<\/p>\n
Venezuelan Cardinal Baltazar Porras is one of the delegate presidents for this synod. He says the assembly is extremely important in this moment.<\/p>\n
