These Spanish students traveled to Italy to celebrate their end-of-year studies. <\/p>\n
It was clear to them they could not miss the Eternal City on their trip. Despite hardly resting from a long journey, they attended the pope's General Audience waving their big banner for him to see. <\/p>\n
FR. VICENTE CEREZO<\/strong> \u201cIt's been a very nice experience. When the pope saw the banner he greeted us very affectionately, without of course stopping the popemobile. However, he greeted us with much affection and made this gesture.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The trip has already become a tradition for the school. Every year students who finish secondary education travel to Rome in order to enjoy its great beauty. <\/p>\n ANDR\u00c9S VESES Although they have already visited other Italian cities, for them Rome is the most impressive. Especially their experience in the Vatican.<\/p>\n ROC\u00cdO CASTILLO<\/strong> Everyone in the group agrees it is one of the best trips they have ever made. \n\u201cIt's been 10 years since we first came here. During those years, we've brought to Rome more than 250 students. This is the ninth trip as one year we could not come.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhen they told us we were coming on Wednesday and going to have the opportunity to see the pope we couldn't believe it.\u201d
\n\u201cWhen we arrived to Rome they told us, 'tomorrow we have to be at the Vatican at 8:30 a.m. in order to see the pope's whole audience.' The moment we saw Pope Francis we were speechless.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
