The country re-established diplomatic relations with the Holy See in mid-2011.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, the pope and the new ambassador met privately to discuss issues of interest for both nations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 10, 2019.
