He says that \u201cPolitical addresses that tend to blame every evil on migrants and to deprive the poor of hope are unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pope also referred to two influential figures. On the one hand, he quotes the French writer Charles P\u00e9guy when he recalls how fragile it is to preserve peace. On the other hand, he cites the \u201cBeatitudes of the Politician\u201d list written by the Vietnamese cardinal V\u00e3n Thu\u1eadn, who suffered persecution by the communist regime.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 18, 2018.
