This week, film director, Liana Marabini, will present in the centre of Rome the Mirabile Dictu awards for the best Catholic film productions. <\/p>\n
It will be the ninth edition of this festival. Its silver fish award evokes the symbol used by early Christians. <\/p>\n
The festival recognizes audiovisual productions for the values they promote. <\/p>\n
LIANA MARABINI <\/strong> This year, the festival has received around a thousand candidates. It has selected 12<\/p>\n finalists. Among them are films such as \u201cConversaci\u00f3n,\u201d a short film by Peruvian Cristian Garcia; the film \u201cRed de libertad,\u201d for which Spaniard Pablo Moreno has been nominated for Best Director; and \u201cNow and the Hour of Our Death,\u201d by Poles Mariusz Pilis and Dariusz Walusiak. <\/p>\n On the sidelines of the competition, Rome Reports' documentary \u201cBenedict XVI, In Honor of Truth\u201d will receive the Capax Dei Prize. <\/p>\n
