At the time, some considered her disappearance as blackmail to the Vatican.<\/p>\n<p>However, it was never known what had happened to Emanuela.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some speculate that a priest, who was investigated as a part of the disappearance, worked in the nunciature.
