Wednesday morning, during the General Audience, Pope Francis announced that just days after signing the historic agreement in Beijing with China, he has written an accompanying message as well. <\/p>\n
POPE FRANCIS<\/strong> He assured in his letter that he's \u201cconvinced that encounter can be authentic and fruitful only if it occurs through the practice of dialogue,\u201d which involves knowing and respecting one another.<\/p>\n He said that this agreement \u201cwhile limited to certain aspects of the Church\u2019s life and necessarily capable of improvement, can contribute \u2013 for its part \u2013 to writing this new chapter of the Catholic Church in China.\u201d <\/p>\n POPE FRANCIS<\/strong> He thus asked the bishops, priests and consecrated people throughout the world to \u201cleave behind past conflicts\u201d and to \u201cwork humbly for reconciliation and unity.\u201d He especially asked for them to \u201cseek good candidates\u201d who could be bishops in the Church.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" September 26, 2018.
