Pope Francis met with an International Journalism Award delegation'Biagio Agnes,' which honors one of the most notorious Italian journalists.<\/p>\n

It was the journalist's daughter and the president of the foundation who greeted the pope, after explaining the difficulties journalist's face.<\/p>\n

\n'With this award you indicate to society those journalists who are distinguished by responsibility in the exercise of their profession. Indeed, being a journalist relates to the formation of people, their vision of the world and their attitudes when facing events.'<\/em><\/p>\n

The pope explained that he has even noticed when traveling how journalism has changed. For example, it is now possible to make a program from a smartphone without having to rely on teleoperators.<\/p>\n

He gave them three keys to practice in their profession: periphery, truth and hope. Share the stories of the most forgotten people; state the facts as they are, and not based on personal opinions; and share the problems of the world, from a responsible point of view that invites everyone to have hope.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
