It was his friend Stefan Wyszynski, archbishop of Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Pope Francis has officially recognized <strong>Wyszynski's demonstration of \u201cheroic virtues.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It's the first important step in the canonization process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski participated in the <strong>two conclaves in 1978<\/strong> and helped elect John Paul II.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To proceed to beatification, <strong>proof of a miracle through his intercession must be shown<\/strong> \u2013 for example, a miraculous cure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 19, 2017.
