The president gave the pope a painting of Christ and some porcelain wares.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThank you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis presented the president with a copy of an illustrated reproduction of Buddha's life emanating from the Vatican Library.<strong> The gift greatly surprised the head of state. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is one thing very unexpected.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis wanted to give the president more information about the reproduction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHow old is it?\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cFrom the 13th century.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201c13th century.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After the exchanging of gifts, Pope Francis took a photo with the chief executive's family.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also in the presidential palace, the pope met with Aung San Suu Kyi, <\/strong>State Counselor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After some official formal photos, the two spoke in private with the help of a translator.
